CLA Insight Scan
Advanced Technology to Access the Impact of Stress
CLA Insight Subluxation Station combines the accuracy, validity and reliability of three of the most important spinal-neural measurements. Electromyography (EMG), thermography and neuroPULSE (HRV) provide a comprehensive platform for spinal-neural examinations. Linked together through CLA’s powerful software, this system detects and reports the impact of lifestyle stress combined with the real-time reactions occurring within the spinal nerves. Subluxation patterns can be analyzed instantly and communicated effortlessly using the world-renowned COREscore™.

What is the Subluxation Station?
A computerized, non-invasive & painless test consisting of thermal and surface electromyology (SEMG).

Why should I get a scan of my nervous system?
The benefits of these scans are to detect and pinpoint abnormal function which cannot be seen on X-ray and are generally not felt in the form of pain until the damage is severe; much like a heart attack. The scans will show if there is any subluxation (stress) on your nervous system and how it is affecting your organs, glands, muscles and energy level.

How will this test benefit me?
These computerized scans will let you know if chiropractic can help you.

Does the Insight Millennium test hurt?
Absolutely not. These tests do not utilize any needles, electric shock, or heat whatsoever. The patient just feels someone touching their spine, sometimes it even tickles. Even infants can be scanned.

Thermal Scan:
The scanner will measure the temperature on each side of your spine. Your skin temperature is controlled by the autonomic nervous system which is that part of the nervous system that you don’t have to think about. Such as heart rate, breathing, all organ function, and much more. Studies at Johns Hopkins University show that the body temperature on the left and right sides of your spine should be the same. A difference of body temperature on the right or left sides of your spine indicates stress on your autonomic nerves (subluxation). The test enables us to determine what organs may be affected and the severity of the stress.

Surface Electromyograph (SEMG):
SEMG will measure how your motor nerves are working. This is the part of the nervous system controlling muscles & movement. The more your muscles contract…the more electrical activity. We are able to measure the amount of muscle spasms or weakness which may indicate stress to your nervous system caused by Subluxation.
Is it painful?

Not at all. It is non-invasive and does not cause pain or irritation. This makes it safe for children, pregnant women and seniors. It simply requires the placement of small electrodes against the skin.
Why is muscle activity important?

Muscles compensate for pain and/or spinal subluxation by tensing up to brace and guard. The MyoVision objectively documents this pattern of muscular guarding, establishing need for care and tracking progress over time.
How does this relate to your health?
Just as blood pressure cuff is used to track your cardiovascular health, the MyoVision is used to track your spinal health. The data helps determine the proper course of care and track your progress over time.

What is the EP Stress Score?
The Electrophysiological (EP) Stress Score is calculated by adding up all muscle activity readings for both left and right sides at all levels of the spine. This sum of all muscle activity about the spine provides a baseline measurement for which all subsequent readings are compared. This allows us to track your progress over time with a simple single number. This number means very little on its own. The first reading is used to create a baseline. All subsequent readings are compared with the baseline for the purpose of tracking progress.

Elevated EP Stress Score readings on a first exam are associated with the acute state of subluxation and/or spinal health. Readings typically will drop after 4-6 weeks of care. Low EP Stress Score readings on a first exam are associated with a chronic problem, with muscles in a state of fatigue. Expect your EP Stress Score to increase, as muscles begin to fire more normally. Since no one lives static lives, expect your EP Stress Score to reflect your activities of daily living. Everything from sitting at the computer too long to playing sports will impact your score.
